Embarking on Umrah for the first time can be overwhelming. Here are practical steps to ease your journey:
1 Pre-Departure
Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months. Complete mandatory vaccines (meningitis, etc.) and pack comfortable, climate-appropriate clothing and your daily medications.
2 Flight & Arrival
Arrive at the airport 3 hours early for check-in and passport control. Confirm your hotel transfer details and meeting points with your tour guide before landing in Jeddah or Madinah.
3 Worship
In Makkah: Enter Ihram, perform Tawaf around the Kaaba, and complete Sa'y.
In Madinah: Visit Al-Masjid an-Nabawi and the final resting place of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
4 Daily Life
Eat light meals due to the heat and drink plenty of Zamzam water. Because you will walk long distances, comfortable or orthopedic footwear is essential.
5 Spirituality
Umrah is a deep spiritual cleansing. Always remain patient and tolerant in crowded spaces, and keep your focus entirely on your prayers.
